Colorectal Cancer Awareness in Mount Vernon

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States. It’s also the third most diagnosed cancer in both men and women.

The good news is, colorectal cancer is preventable, treatable and beatable when detected early, and we would love your help spreading this important message to Mount Vernon residents.

A recent event at Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital where The Rollin’ Colon and the Montefiore Einstein Colorectal Cancer Screening Program helped raise awareness about the different options for colorectal cancer screenings locally.

Colorectal cancer is Preventable, Treatable, and Beatable when detected early. Anyone who is 45 years-old or older can schedule a colorectal cancer screening by calling 718-920-7183.
