Policing is more than just responding to emergencies. Today, we swore in two new K-9’s to our Yonkers Police Department.
These special labs, named Nilson and Gator, are facility dogs and will help support victims of trauma and provide comfort and compassion to those in our community who need it.
These dogs just finished their training and their K-9 friends from other departments came to wish them well as they took on their new duties.
