
The Village of Mamaroneck Police Department is actively investigating a Forcible Touching incident that occurred during the early morning hours of Sunday, July 26, 2026, in the area of Florence Street and Halstead Avenue.
At approximately 1:20 a.m., three women were walking home after leaving a local establishment when an unknown male approached one of the women from behind and grabbed her. During the struggle, the suspect forced the victim to the ground and inappropriately touched her before fleeing the area after the victim’s companions intervened.
The suspect was described as possibly:
A male
Early 20s
Approximately 5’10”
Slim build
Wearing a black hooded sweatshirt
Black sweatpants
Face covered with a black cloth
The Village of Mamaroneck Investigations Division is actively investigating this incident and reviewing surveillance footage from the surrounding area. Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the suspect, suspicious activity, or who may have surveillance or doorbell camera footage from Florence Street, Halstead Avenue, or the surrounding neighborhood between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. on July 26 to contact investigators.
