L-R-Louis Spotorno, Vincent Pastore, Frank Spotorno, 2016
By Frank Spotorno
In 2016, when I was running for Congress for Joe Crowley’s seat, I personally asked Vincent to play at my one and only campaign fundraiser at Russo’s on the Bay in Howard Beach. He didn’t hesitate for a second — he said yes immediately. His band, The Gangster Squad brought the house down that night.
Although we didn’t win the race, that night was a win because of Vincent. All my family and friends were there, some of whom have since passed on themselves. I still remember my mom saying, “He really sings good,” and how much she enjoyed his music.
Today, we pause to honor and remember Vincent Pastori, whose passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who knew him. Vincent brought so much light, warmth, and life into the world, and his memory will forever remain a cherished blessing to his family, friends, and community.
In times of profound loss, we turn to prayer for comfort and hope.
Heavenly Father,
We gently place Vincent into Your loving hands. Grant him eternal rest, Lord, and wrap his soul in Your everlasting light and peace. May he rest in comfort, free from pain, fully embraced by Your grace.
We pray for the Pastori family during this painful season of grief. Bring them solace in their sorrow, strength in their togetherness, and comfort in the enduring legacy of Vincent’s love. Amen.
To the entire Pastori family, please accept our deepest and most heartfelt condolences. May you find strength in the support of those around you and comfort in the beautiful memories you shared with Vincent.
You remain in our thoughts, our hearts, and our prayers.
Rest in peace , Vincent. You will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
