On October 6, 2020, the Yonkers Kiwanis Club presented Empress Ambulance Services with the “Honor an Essential Worker” Award, thanking them for their service and dedication to the community during the ongoing Pandemic. This award was presented to Michael Minerva and his staff by Judy Bartunek, president of Yonkers Kiwanis. Other members attending were: Dorothy Burke, Kathleen Ennis, Rocco Riti, John Bartunek and Tom & Genia Flammia.

Yonkers Kiwanis made a donation to the New York District Kiwanis Foundation in the name of Empress Ambulance. Last November, the Club celebrated 90 years of service to children and families in the community.
