Mayor Mike Spano tries out new fitness equipment at Trevor Park
Welcome to the new Trevor Park. Mayor Spano, the Yonkers City Council and the Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation and many others from the community helped and made major renovations to Trevor Park. The park now includes a new fitness area, new basketball courts new tennis courts, new benches, fencing, walkways and the replacement of the playground surfacing.
Trevor Park will continue with additional improvements in the next three years that include restrooms, dog area, a field and more. Trevor Park is located on Ravine Avenue, via Glenwood Avenue.
Yonkers resident Madeline Jimenez said, “Great job. I was just saying a lot of the parks have been designed to give our kids hope. Wilson Park . Trevor Park. There’s a park up by Morningside. Kids appreciate it. I was sitting there and I could see how happy they were. They asked for a higher fence bc ball goes outside fence. Well I told them they needed to write mayor spano a letter.
