Santa Returns to a Re-Opened Yonkers Police Athletic League, (PAL)

By Dan Murphy

Santa Claus returned to the Yonkers Police Athetic League to celebrate the big day with a children who got donated gifts. Over 125 kids stopped by. Gifts were donated by the YPD’s Community Affairs Division! Special thanks to the Yonkers Police Cadets for providing the entertainment, and a special welcome to Marisol Mancebo, the new Executive Director of the Yonkers PAL. COVID caused the closure of the PAL’s Walshin center on North Broadway for a year and a half. But now the PAL has regrouped with some support from local businesses.

Hopefully, this new wave of COVID will give the PAL a chance to stay open for a while. The kids of Yonkers need it! We look forward to providing our readers with more information about the new Yonkers PAL in the weeks to come. They have always had a special place in Yonkers Rising. And Santa, Great Job!
