28th Annual Yonkers Riverfest Cancelled–After thoughtful consideration, the Yonkers Downtown/Waterfront Business Improvement District, in conjunction with the City of Yonkers, must regretfully announce that the 28th Annual Yonkers Riverfest has been cancelled. The annual festival, held along the majestic Hudson River, has always been a free event that attracts thousands of people from across the county and has been a Westchester staple since its inception in 1992.

“Riverfest is more than just a festival, it is truly a celebration of community, which is why the health and safety of everyone from attendees to sponsors and vendors is of the utmost importance to us. While the decision to cancel the event was difficult, we know this is the right decision to keep our community safe,” said Sara A. Brody, Executive Director, Yonkers Downtown/Waterfront BID. “We are hopeful that we will come together once again for a celebration in September 2021.”

The Yonkers Downtown/Waterfront BID has tentatively scheduled the Yonkers Riverfest for Saturday, Sept 11, 2021.
