Babcock Place Renamed in Honor of Archbishop George Leon Harris

A portion of Babcock Place has been renamed in honor of Archbishop George Leon Harris. He was devoted to his community here in Yonkers and helped develop the Christian Love Tabernacle School of the Bible (CLT).

He also created a prison ministry, provided religious services to at-risk juveniles and created a food program that was helpful during the pandemic. Thank you to Yonkers City Council for leading this recognition for Harris’s family.
