County Legislator James Nolan Gets Republican & Conservative Party Nominations for Reelection

County Legislator James Nolan recently accepted the nomination from the Westchester Party Republican County Committee and the Westchester County Conservative Party.

Nolan posted, I proudly received and accepted the endorsement of the Westchester Republican County Committee for my re-election campaign for Westchester County Legislator for District 15.

“This endorsement solidifies our unwavering commitment to protecting taxpayers, strengthening public safety, investing in infrastructure, and making Westchester affordable for families, seniors, and children.

“I have consistently championed District 15 — voting against tax increases, securing vital funding for our communities, and delivering tangible results. As the representative for District 15, I have proven my ability to deliver and will continue to do so, unlike the opposition, which lacks knowledge and spreads falsehoods.

“I am grateful for their support and remain resolute in fighting for residents of Yonkers, Bronxville, and Eastchester. I am confident I will be re-elected this November.

“Together, we will continue to deliver meaningful results for everyone!”

And

“I am honored and proud to announce that I have officially received the endorsement of the Westchester County Conservative Party for my re-election as Westchester County Legislator for District 15.

“The Conservative Party has a long and respected history of standing up for taxpayers and families, defending our communities, and promoting common-sense leadership. I am grateful for their trust and support, and I remain committed to fighting for the principles we share — protecting taxpayers, strengthening public safety, defending local control, and ensuring government is accountable to the people.

“Throughout my time in office, I have stood firmly against higher taxes, fought back against costly mandates, secured millions in funding for infrastructure and public safety, and delivered real, measurable results for the residents of Yonkers, Eastchester, and Bronxville. This endorsement is a powerful affirmation of that work and the direction we must continue moving forward.

“I look forward to continuing this fight and earning the support of voters across District 15 as we work together to protect our communities and deliver results,” said Nolan.

Legislator Nolan will have a democratic challenger in November. That will either be Anthony Nicodemo or Keisha Skipper, both of who are collecting signatures to get on the ballot and face off in a democratic primary in June.

Nolan has been reelected three times, 2021,23,25, and is running in 2026 because of the consolidation of many local races into the same election cycle as Statewide and National elections.

Nolan defeated democrat Ruth Walter twice, in 21 and 23, and ran unopposed last year.

Nolan is the only republican on the 17-member Westchester BOL. Legislator Margaret Cunzio is a registered Conservative.
