The Yonkers African American Heritage Committee, (YAAHC), is hosting our annual Black History Luncheon on Sat. Feb. 24 from 12pm-3pm at the Nepperhan Community Center.
This year’s theme is based on the Third Principle of Kwanzaa, Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility).
The community honorees this year are renowed Artists Evan Bishop and Katori Walker. They both use their God-given talents to promote unity, peace, love and acceptance. They are both the epitome of this year’s theme, the Third Principle of Kwanzaa, Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility).
A portion of the proceeds will be used towards YAAHC’s 2024 Scholarships.
