Young Artists Wanted for Logo Design Contest for Yonkers Youth Bureau

   

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano recently kicked-off a logo design contest for the City of Yonkers Youth Bureau in search of a new look. The Yonkers Youth Bureau’s mission is to serve Yonkers youth and their families through community development, advocacy, and prevention, strengthening the overall community. The Yonkers Youth Bureau will work to educate youth and their families with a focus on wellness, mental health awareness, career development, and other critical life skills to develop youth into productive members of the community.


The newly reinstated Youth Bureau is now accepting submissions for a logo design. The winning design will be considered for the Yonkers Youth Bureau’s official logo and used on its promotional materials.


“We are in the process of revitalizing and rebranding the Yonkers Youth Bureau, and it starts with a new logo design,” said Mayor Spano. “This is a great opportunity for our young residents to engage and take pride in creating a design that will be the face of the Youth Bureau. I am excited to see what our talented residents have to offer.”

The submission period runs today through Friday, January 22, 2021 at 5 PM during which residents are welcome to email their designs to youthbureau@yonkersny.gov. The winner will be selected Wednesday, January 28.


Eligibility:
· Contest is open to all Yonkers residents ages 7 and older
· You must currently be a Yonkers resident to participate

Contest Rules:
Creativity is key! A winning design should include Yonkers and what makes Yonkers unique. Design an image that represents the city’s youth and community.
· Contestants may submit only one original entry, application is available at yonkersny.gov
· Entries must be submitted in PDF format
· Logo must include “Yonkers Youth Bureau” in the design
· Logo can be in color or one color
· The contest application must be sent with the final submission

Contest Winner:

· Invited to a virtual ceremony presented by Mayor Mike Spano
· $100.00 Visa Gift Card
· Featured on City of Yonkers social media pages, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter & yonkersny.gov
Submission Deadline: January 22, 2021 email in PDF format to youthbureau@yonkersny.gov
