Yonkers Man Convicted of Rape for Sexual Assault of a Minor Over Three Years

Westchester County District Attorney Susan Cacace announced today that Eleuterio Duran, 38, of Yonkers, was convicted of numerous felonies in relation to his violent, sexual abuse of two individuals, one of whom is a minor.

Duran was convicted by a Westchester County jury Friday of one count of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree and two counts of Rape in the First Degree, both class B felonies, and numerous other felonies and a misdemeanor, following a multi-week trial.

Judge Robert Prisco scheduled a sentencing hearing for Jan. 27. Duran is currently remanded at the Westchester County Jail.

DA Cacace said: “Over the course of years, Mr. Duran repeatedly abused and raped an underage victim. Years before these crimes, he had raped another woman. The scars left by this defendant’s assaults can hardly be put into words.

“But these unspeakable abuses can now be expressed with a single word: Guilty.

“I am grateful to the jury for doing justice by Mr. Duran’s victims, whose courage and composure on the witness stand, where they were forced to relive their trauma, aided in achieving this necessary result.

“Sexual abuse and assault survivors will always have a champion in my administration. I urge anyone who has been assaulted and is hesitant to report it to take that brave first step. We will stand with and support you during every phase of this journey.”

Between 2020 and 2023, Duran repeatedly raped and abused an underage victim. Between 2012 and 2013, Duran also raped another victim who was incapacitated.

The investigation was conducted by the Yonkers Police Department and the Special Prosecutions Division.
The case is being prosecuted by Senior Assistant District Attorneys Charlotte Gudis and Stephanie Baehr, of the Special Prosecutions Division.
