As we all celebrate the Memorial Day holiday and the coming summer, apthe Armando Rauso AMVETS Post 40 in the 7th Ward continued it tradition or reminding us of what Memorial Day is truly about, honoring the brave men,women who gave their lives in service to our country.
Mayor Mike Spano said, “It was especially moving to see local children take part in the ceremony, proudly saluting the flag and helping carry on the spirit of remembrance for the next generation. Let us never forget the sacrifices made for our freedoms.”
We thank AMVETS Post 40 Commander Sam Riti, for all that he does for our Veterans, and to remind us of the sacrifices made, for so many years.
