Do you know what is going on with your land records? Now, thanks to a new program launched by Westchester County Clerk Tom Roach, you won’t have to wonder anymore. The new Westchester County Clerk Property Alert Service is afree program designed to help property owners stay informed about documents recorded with the Westchester County Clerk’s Office. The Property Alert Service allows residents to register their name or property address, and receive an email notification when a deed or mortgage matching that information is recorded with the County Clerk’s Office.
Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins said: “I applaud County Clerk Roach on this effort. Property owners should have an easy way to know when activity involving their name or property appears in our land records, and this free service puts another tool directly in the hands of residents. We are now giving residents timely information and an opportunity to review recorded documents and take action if something doesn’t look right.”
Roach said: “This is just the latest project to modernize the County Clerk’s Office. We want to be as timely and efficient as possible and this is one way to make things easier for residents. We have been working with the Westchester County Department of Information Technology since January 2026 to develop the new system, and we are thrilled to now launch it.”
How the Property Alert Service Works:
- Register Your Property: Property owners can voluntarily register the name or address they would like to monitor through the secure WCCPAS platform.
- Receive Email Alerts: When a document is recorded with the County Clerk’s Office that matches the registered name or address, the user will receive an email notification.
- Review the Activity: The notification allows residents to review the recorded information and determine whether any additional action is necessary.
The service is provided free of charge and is intended to give residents an additional way to stay informed about activity associated with their property records.
