Congratulations to the Roosevelt High School varsity basketball team, which recently defeated Lincoln High School in the Yonkers city basketball championship game. Roosevelt (5-3) defeated Lincoln (2-4) by a 59-47 margin.
Lincoln’s top scorers were B. Uvena with 11 points and C. Obi with 10 points.
Roosevelt’s top scorers were Jayden Stephens with 20 points, Jonathan De La Cruz with 15 points, and Marcus Heron with 14 points.
RHS’s Marcus Heron was named the city championship’s MVP. This makes five straight victories for Roosevelt, which moved on to play Walter Panas High School in Cortlandt Manor on Dec. 19.
