PORT CHESTER MAN CHARGED WITH POSSESSION AND PROMOTION OF CHILD SEX ABUSE MATERIAL

Westchester County District Attorney Susan Cacace announced today that Christopher Mendoza, 21, of Port Chester, was charged with two felonies in relation to his alleged possession and promotion of child sexual abuse material.

Mendoza was arraigned on JUne 24 on a felony complaint charging him with Promoting an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child, a class D felony, and Possessing an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child, a class E felony. The defendant was released on his own recognizance pending further proceedings.

DA Cacace said: “Our investigators work tirelessly with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the New York State Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force to identify and apprehend individuals like Christopher Mendoza who promote this obscene material. We will continue to aggressively pursue anyone who attempts to exploit the most vulnerable members of society, our children.”

As alleged in a felony complaint, on or about February 5, 2025, the defendant promoted an obscene sexual performance by a child by sharing a digital video via Snapchat. This video depicted an adult male sexually abusing a female child approximately 7 to 10 years old. On January 30, 2026, the defendant allegedly possessed a video file of a nude female child approximately 7 to 10 years old engaging in sexual activity.

This case was investigated by the Hi-Technology Crime Squad within the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, the New York State Police, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the New York State Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
The case is being prosecuted by Cyber Crimes Bureau Chief Michael Delohery.
