On July 14, 2026, Moody’s Investors Services assigned the Town of Eastchester bond rating of Aaa. This rating applies to the new bond issue and any outstanding debt the Town currently has and is the highest rating that can be awarded by Moody’s.
The Aaa rating reflects the Town’s strong financial position and ample reserves and liquidity. The Town Supervisor and Town Comptroller have kept a tight rein on the Town’s finances during these challenging economic times. The town is conservative in their budgetary operations and the Town’s strong financial operations is driven by the Town of Eastchester’s prudent management.
Supervisor Colavita said, “We are very proud of our Moody’s Aaa rating. Paying very low interest on our borrowing saves taxpayer dollars and enables us to do more. Not only do we maintain one of the lowest town outside tax rates year after year, but we have never exceeded the tax levy cap and have strong reserves. It’s difficult, but we work hard to control spending and keep Eastchester an affordable place to live and raise a family”.
