
NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS – AUXILIARY POLICE
The Yonkers Police Department is now accepting applications for volunteers to join its upcoming Auxiliary Police Unit training program.
Auxiliary Police Officers are volunteers who are trained to be state-certified Peace Officers who, when activated, serve to safeguard the community, preserve order, and support emergency response operations and public events.
Minimum Requirements:
U.S. Citizen
Ages 21-55 at time of application
Live or work in Yonkers
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Pass background investigation, medical, psychological, and drug screening
Application Period: April 3, 2026 – April 24, 2026
