Jean-Luc Brunel, a french modeling agent with close ties to Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislane Maxwell and some connecton to Price Andrew, the Duke of York, was found dead after hanging himself in a French jail on Feb. 18.
Back in 1988, Diane Sawyer and the legendary CBS news show 60 Minutes had French modeling agent Jean-Luc Brunel in their grasp.. The segment, titled “American Girls in Paris,” had Sawyer speaking to models who told her on camera that if you didn’t ‘spend time’ with Jean-Luc Brunel’s friends, “you don’t work if you say no.”
In the episode, two models say that Jean-Luc Brunel drugged them, and one was raped by him, and after the show aired, the Ford Modeling Agency cut their ties with him. The segment was taped in 1988, 33 years after he was found on Feb. 18 hanging in his French jail cell at the age of 75.
Jean-Luc had a friendship with two notorius sexual predators and traffickers of underage women in the United States: Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislane Maxwell.
Jean-Luc and Epstein became friends as neighbors, both with the apartment in the uber wealthy parts of Paris. Years later, Jean-Luc stayed in Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse, where it is alleged that he brought underage girls to visit with Epstein.
When the names of who flew on Epstein’s private plane were leaked, Brunel’s name appeared dozens of times, and Jean-Luc visited his friend several times when he was in prison in 2008. But after the media began to finally expose Epstein did Brunel try to distance himself from his old friend by filing a frivillous lawsuit against Epstein in 2019 for the damage done to his business based on Epstein’s arrest. The nonsensical lawsuit was dismssed and Jean-Luc disappeared for almost one year before he was arrested by French authorities in 2020 at a Paris Airport as he was about to escape to Senegal. He was arrested and charged with human trafficking of minors for sexual exploitation.
Last year, French prosecutor Rémi Heitz said that Jean-Luc ” is suspected of having committed rape, sexual assault and sexual harassment on various victims, both minors and adults, and in particular of having organized the transportation and lodging for girls and young women on behalf of Jeffrey Epstein,”
Accusations against Jean-Luc about drugging woman, raping women and ‘giving’ women to friends like Epstein have been around since the 60 Minutes story in 1988 and even before then. Some of the victims have estimated that Jean-Luc trafficked more than 1,000 women for sexual abuse to Epstein and others.
One of those victims was Virginia Giuffre, who just agreed to a settlement of $16 Million from Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, for her civil suit accusing him of sexual abuse when she was 17.
“The suicide of Jean-Luc Brunel, who abused me and countless girls and young women, ends another chapter. I’m disappointed that I wasn’t able to face him in a final trial to hold him accountable, but gratified that I was able to testify in person last year to keep him in prison,” said Giuffre, who alleged that Jean-Luc sexually abused her at Epstein NYC apartment.
When he was arrested, Giuffre tweeted to Prince Andrew in 2020, “Are you sweating yet, Prince Andrew? You should be. Your buddy Jean-Luc Brunel is behind bars. Remember those girls he supplied to you on the island? Well, you might want to start thinking of new allergies cuz you’re about to burn. This piggy will roll over on EVERYONE to save his own bacon. Those who participated in this sex trafficking ring should be worried.”
Among the disgusting charges against Jean-Luc were that year raped and sexually assaulted three 12-year old sisters.
Like Epstein, Brunel was found dead in his prison cell from hanging. And like Epstein, there was no video of his cell or his death, fueling speculation that he, like Epstein, was murdered to protect those who abused underage girls who were given to them from both depraved men.
Others believe that both Epstein and Brunel realized that they were caught and had nothing else to live for. But friends and family of Ghislaine Maxwell are worried for her safety as she sits in a Manhattan prison cell awaiting sentencing after being convicted last year of sex trafficking for Epstein. Maxwell is now on suicide watch in her jail cell.
