Iona Prep Students Line Football Field to Mark Holy Week

Over 700 students and faculty from Iona Preparatory School in New Rochelle gathered today on Wellington T. Mara Field for the Stations of the Cross. Upper School students lined the entire football field, creating a powerful setting for the 14-step mini pilgrimage that commemorates Jesus Christ’s final day on Earth.

The moving observance was led by Rev. Justin Cinnante, O’Carm, with students and faculty reading reflections at each station. Traditionally held on Good Friday, the school community gathered today ahead of Easter Recess to reflect on the meaning and importance of the Stations of the Cross.
