Impact 100 Westchester Kicks Off at YPIE College Zone

Members of the Impact100 Westchester Community join Sam Wallis, YPIE Executive Director, at the 7th Annual Impact100 Westchester Kickoff Event held at the YPIE College Zone

Yonkers Partners in Education hosted the Impact100 Westchester kickoff event at its new YPIE College Zone on Sept. 22. With the support of Impact100’s Transformational Grant, YPIE built its new state-of-the-art learning space that brings together hundreds of Yonkers students each week to learn, be inspired, and be part of a community of students on the path to college.

Laura Stone, Impact100 Westchester co-president, welcomed members of the Impact100 community and shared the meaningful impact this collective giving organization has had on nonprofit organizations throughout Westchester.

Sam Wallis, YPIE executive director, gave an overview of YPIE and expressed thanks to Impact100 Westchester for the generous support that has made this new space a reality for YPIE students. With their support, the new YPIE College Zone is a vibrant space that students compare to Google headquarters.

One of the highlights of the event was hearing from YPIE students Aishe and Samantha, who described how much they enjoy going to this new space and the difference it has made in their high school experience.
