Groundbreaking Held for ‘Unique Design’ Apartment Building in Downtown Yonkers

On August 19, city officials joined with developers from Azorim to break ground on Miroza on the Hudson, a 25-story residential building on the vacant property of 44 Hudson Street. Miroza on the Hudson will include 250 apartments (including 25 affordable rental units), a fitness center, a library, a rooftop garden and plenty more outstanding amenities.

“Miroza on the Hudson is a shining example of the great innovations we see blossoming here in Yonkers. It will be a superb place for families as well as younger millennials who are looking for quality and convenience. I’m extremely eager to see the completion of this project which will be a fitting addition to our already graceful Yonkers skyline,” said Mayor Mike Spano. “Its unique design spurs a transformative development along the Yonkers waterfront.”

City Council President Lakisha Collins-Bellamy said, “The Council appreciates Azorim’s continued commitment to the City of Yonkers.”
