Congratulations to the Grassy Sprain Pharmacy on celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. The pharmacy, located at 640 Tuckahoe Road (opposite Roosevelt High School), is owned by pharmacist Anthony Ciarletta. One of the nice things about this pharmacy is that it is not like the big box store pharmacies that have opened up in recent years. At Grassy Sprain, you will find a kind caring staff member that is always there help and answer any questions you may have on subjects like medication, surgical supplies, medical equipment and more.
The pharmacy opened in 1949. This year, Grassy Sprain won Westchester Magazine’s “Best Pharmacy in Westchester Award.” This came after the pharmacy won the Yonkers Chamber of Commerce’s “Best Pharmacy in Yonkers Award” for 10 years in a row. The layout of the store is very easy to navigate around, with many items that are found in addition to the typical pharmacy products.
These include greeting cards, toys, gift items, sundries and more. In fact, you can pick up a copy of Yonkers Rising every Friday morning. The pharmacy is open seven days a week. It also offers free delivery and accepts all insurance plans.
