Fuelco donated 174 backpacks to Yonkers’ annual Backpack to School Drive that will benefit children in the Yonkers Public Schools.

Fuelco’s donation helped Yonkers collect more than 2,000 backpacks, which were distributed to children at the Enrico Fermi School and various community-based organizations.

“Fuelco devoted itself to community outreach this summer. We gave veterans $5 in free gas on Memorial Day and Independence Day and offered consumers super discounted gas for several weeks. Now it’s time to focus on kids and get them ready for school,” said Fuelco president Adam Musa, whose Yonkers station is at 651 Bronx River Road. “

Coupled with its Foodsmart convenience store, the Fuelco service station combines deeply discounted gasoline and a variety of organic, gluten-free, and fair-trade snacks, along with convenience store staples—think Trader Joe’s with gas pumps.

According to GasBuddy.com, Fuelco consistently has the lowest gas prices compared to its competitors. All customers can download the Fuelco app from the company’s website to receive everyday low prices on gas and healthy alternative foods.

Fuelco has a history of giving back to the community. Last year the company donated $10,000 to the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital and raffled a Camaro to a resident of Ardsley, N.Y.

Fuelco’s locations are 651 Bronx River Road in Yonkers and 85 Virginia Road in Valhalla.
