On December 22, 2023, the New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Eric Huang, age 33, of Brooklyn, NY, for Driving While Intoxicated and Unclassified misdemeanor, and Criminal Possession of Cannabis in the 1st degree, a class D felony.
Troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2008 Acura MDX on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Pleasant Valley for violations of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation determined the operator, Eric Huang, was operating the vehicle while impaired and he was subsequently arrested. Further investigation determined he was in illegal possession of over 36 pounds of cannabis.
Huang was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the town of Pleasant Valley Court on January 2, 2024.
