When asked who killed JFK, Joe Pesci, playing the role of David Ferry in the movie JFK, said its “A mystery, wrapped in a riddle, inside an enigma.” The same can be true about who protected Jeffrey Epstein, or who did he work for?
More important for those of us concerned about making sure that anyone who had sex with underage girls under Epstein’s hand be identified and prosecuted, the question for some time has been, who are the John Doe 8?
The names of eight men affiliated with Epstein and his perversion were said to be disclosed by Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s victims in a deposition many years ago. Giuffre has publicly accused two men, Prince Andrew and Alan Dershowitz, or sexually abusing her when she was 17 or younger.
Prince Andrew settled a Civil Suit with Virginia for $16 Million, according to published reports. Dershowitz has vehemently denied the allegations, and has countersued Giuffre for defamation based on her allegations.
Most believe that Andrew and Dershowitz are 2 of the 8 John Doe’s. Christina Oxenberg, a cousin to Prince Andrew, claimed that two of the eight John Doe’s are “a former President and a high powered attorney,” a clear reference to Clinton and Dershowitz. Oxenberg also said that Maxwell told her that ‘Jeffrey and I have everyone on videotape!’
Another high powered attorney David Boies, served as Giuffre’s attorney and has consistently said that Maxwell’s conviction “is an important step, but it should not be the last step in holding Jeffrey Epstein’s enablers and participants to account.”
More recently, Boies told the UK Independent that “A lot of the materials from our 2015-2016 civil actions, which the government got, are still sealed to the public. These kinds of records should not be sealed, but they are heavily protected by cadres of lawyers and PR consultants and political consultants. And you’ve got to have a prosecutor who is really committed to the cause of sex trafficking that is prepared to take that group on,” said Boies, who added that “I’m a little pessimistic at this point.”
Giuffre and Dershowitz’s competing lawsuits continue, with Giuffre giving a deposition last month and Dershowitz to provide a deposition in August.
Now how does all of this connect to John Dougan. Dougan, a former Marine, worked as a cop in the Palm Beach County police department in Florida during the height of Esptein’s escapades. Dougan began a series of exposing telephone recording and accusing the Palm Beach Sherrif among others, of corruption.
Dougan eventually fled to Russia, where he lives today, and broadcasts a podcast. The British tabloids have been writing for some time that Dougan had additional information on Prince Andrew’s dalliances, and the rumor has always been that Dougan somehow acquired videotapes from Epstein’s Palm Beach mansion. Others believe that the Russian intelligence service now has the videotapes that Dougan had.
Six months ago, Ghislaine Maxwell lifted her legal hold on releasing the names of the John Doe 8, but they never materailized. Last month, Maxwell was tranfered to a ‘Club Fed’ like prison in Florida to serve her 20 year sentence.
And the saga continues.
