Mt. Pleasant Democratic Committee Endorses Abinanti, Hrotko and Peppard

The Mount Pleasant Democratic Committee has endorsed its slate of candidates for Town and County offices. At its recent meeting attended by some 50 Democratic Committee members, the Democrats overwhelmingly chose Tom Abinanti for Town Supervisor, Frank Hrotko for Superintendent of Highways and Michael Peppard for Country Legislator.

“Our community is ready for leadership that listens, plans, and delivers for residents,” said Joanne Sold, Chair of the Mount Pleasant Democratic Committee. “We are excited to support candidates who bring deep experience and a commitment to public service.”

Tom Abinanti, candidate for Town Supervisor, emphasized the need for responsive and forward‑looking local government. “Residents want a town government that is transparent, fiscally responsible, and focused on solutions,” Abinanti said. “We must address infrastructure challenges, including persistent flooding, and ensure Mount Pleasant is an affordable and safe community. We need a government that works for the people who live here.”

Frank Hrotko, candidate for Superintendent of Highways, highlighted the importance of reliable services. “The priorities of Mount Pleasant residents are clear,” Hrotko said. “They want timely leaf collection, safe winter roads, and a proactive approach to flooding. I’m committed to delivering the level of service our community deserves.”

Michael Peppard, candidate for County Legislator stressed that he will be focused on affordability and sustainability in Westchester. “We need to keep Westchester livable, sustainable, economically vibrant, and welcoming to the next generation of families putting down roots here,” said Peppard.
