Port Chester Man Gets 27 Years for Sexually Abusing a 12-Year-Old Girl After She Testifies Against Him

Segundo Pucha-Carchi

Westchester County District Attorney Susan Cacace announced today that a Port Chester man was sentenced to up to 31 years in state prison for repeatedly sexually abusing a 12-year-old child and attempting to cover up the abuse.

The defendant, Segundo Pucha-Carchi, 56, was sentenced Tuesday before Judge Robert Prisco in Westchester County Court to 25 years in state prison for Course of Sexual Conduct in the First Degree and an additional 2 to 6 years for Bribing a Witness, to be served consecutively. He will also serve 20 years of post-release supervision and be required to register as a sex offender.

On June 24, 2026, a jury found the defendant guilty of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree, Bribing a Witness, two counts of Tampering with a Witness in the Fourth Degree, and six counts of Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree.

DA Cacace said: “Nobody, especially a child, should ever be subjected to the horrific sexual abuse this 12-year-old endured, only to then be forced to face her abuser in court after he refused to take responsibility for his abhorrent conduct. I commend this young survivor for the remarkable courage it took to come forward and the incredible strength she showed testifying against her abuser in court. This sentence sends a clear message that sexual predators will be held accountable and that my office will do everything in its power to protect our children and keep our community safe.”

Between December 2023 and October 2024, the defendant repeatedly subjected the victim, a 12-year-old girl, to multiple sexual acts.

In December 2024, following his arrest and while remanded at the Westchester County Jail, the defendant violated an order of protection and attempted to influence the victim’s testimony through bribery, witness tampering, and other means.

The Port Chester Police Department handled the investigation.

The case was prosecuted by Senior Assistant District Attorney Stephanie Baehr and Assistant District Attorney Paige Pirtle, both of the Special Prosecutions Division.
