What happens if you don’t vote

By Robert M. DiVincenzo

First of all, lets talk about the polls. The polls are designed to influence the way people think, feel and take action or not, on election day. They are NOT the election. People get swayed one way or another by the polls and don’t understand that who is being polled is the most important thing. If they are weak they will use it as an excuse to fuel their preconceived ideas and stay home (which they think is not voting) and as we will discover later, staying home and thinking you are not voting is not true. A poll that is not fact based and balanced fairly, is actually a form of propaganda.

That being said, please read on and let us expose an invasive and corrosive myth.

What if… Exposing a Myth

Let us expose a mind paralyzing myth. Sunday I heard a prominent conservative talk show host say, “What if people wont come out to vote”. So why wouldn’t they and most importantly, why wouldn’t YOU?

It is because they have bought into the myth which has become a mind virus propagated by those who don’t want you to get out and vote. This myth is, “my vote doesn’t count, so why bother, nothing is going to change anyway”. Nothing could be further from the truth. Nothing stays the same. Just take a look at your baby picture.

This excuse has become an inherently dis-empowering belief which is as infectious as a virus and results in lazy people slouching and falling to complaining, rather than being responsible for an outcome. No one knows how you voted unless you volunteer the information to them and its none of their business anyway!

Factually speaking, mathematically, not voting is passive voting. It is voting by forfeit!

You gave up your vote to another and allowed their vote to count twice. Allow me to explain. Lets say two people are running for office. You did not vote and you don’t like the person who won. Well guess what; you voted for that person!  You did not vote and you gave your vote to another voter who voted for the person who actually won; the candidate you don’t like. You cannot argue with the math. You voted for the person you did not want to win by NOT voting. This is voting by forfeit.

What if… not voting is actually voting?

Lets pretend you are on a football team. You caught the ball and you ran with it all the way to the 5 yard line. Then mysteriously you stopped, turned around and gave the ball to the opposing team and they ran with it, scored and won the game! How long do you think you would remain on the team you were on?

You already know the answer to that question.

There really is no excuse for not voting because it is a myth. It does not exist. Do you understand?

Not voting IS voting.

Inherent in our system is voting for those who say they are what they represent. We vote for them and then most go to sleep for a time until they do, say and vote for something to the contrary. The tendency is for the electorate to go to sleep because of a false sense of trust. Do not go to sleep. Be watchful and be willing to call them out. This is your responsibility.

Remember: Thomas Jefferson said, “The price of liberty is eternal vigilance”. That vigilance we speak of is not sometimes, it is eternal.

So stop being brainwashed and VOTE for the candidate who is going to preserve our constitution and our constitutional rights. If they falter, lobby. Call them on it.

Exercise your sacred constitutional right we all have in our Constitutional Republic and VOTE WISELY!.

So, really, there is no “staying home”.

Your say in the matter? Wake up; Use it or Lose IT!

Wake up NOW!: VOTE WISELY!.
