Enjoy an afternoon of food, entertainment, shopping and more!

The 26th Annual Heritage of India Festival returns on Sunday, August 2, from noon to 6 p.m. at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla. Residents and visitors of all backgrounds are invited to experience this vibrant celebration of India’s rich and diverse culture.

Festivalgoers can explore a variety of vendors showcasing the flavors and artistry of India — from savory, spice-infused cuisine and traditional sweets to beautifully crafted clothing, intricate jewelry, unique accessories, gifts and hand-made arts and crafts. With an array of complimentary children’s activities designed to entertain and inspire, the celebration promises a joyful, multi-generational experience for the entire family.

Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins said: “The Heritage of India Festival celebrates the rich traditions, artistry and contributions of Westchester’s Indian-American community. Events like this give residents and visitors the opportunity to experience the vibrant culture, music, dance and cuisine that help make our County so unique. They bring people together, deepen our understanding of one another and showcase the cultural diversity that strengthens Westchester.”

Acting Commissioner of the Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation Peter Tartaglia said: “Kensico Dam Plaza offers the perfect backdrop for cultural celebrations like the Heritage of India Festival. Its sweeping lawns, scenic setting and central location make it easy to welcome large crowds while providing ample space to honor India’s rich heritage through music, dance, cuisine and more.”

The festival will be held rain or shine. Seating is informal; bring blankets or folding chairs for sitting on the lawn. Coolers aren’t allowed. Admission and parking are free.
