Scouting America is chartered by Congress to serve our nation’s youth by instilling the values of the Scout Oath and Law which encourage the ability of its members to do things for themselves and others; and 

WHEREAS:            DANIEL MARSICH has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout – the highest honor that can be earned from Scouting America.  This award involves earning at least twenty-one merit badges, achieving the rank of Life Scout and fulfilling all of the requirements for the Eagle rank.   The Eagle Scout Service Project includes many hours of work, dedication, service and leadership; and      

WHEREAS:            For his Eagle Scout project, DANIEL MARSICH led the installation of a statue of St. John Bosco at Salesian High School in New Rochelle. The project required planning and organizing volunteers, preparing the installation site and securely anchoring the statue. The completed project enhances the school campus and stands as a meaningful symbol of Don Bosco’s values for students, faculty and visitors; and

WHEREAS:            DANIEL MARSICH currently attends Salesian High School where he is enrolled in Honors and Advanced Placement courses. He is a member of the National Honor Society, the St. Francis De Sales Honors Program, a DECA member and plays on the basketball team. DANIEL MARSICH also is a member of a Puma sponsored NXT Pro basketball circuit team. As a member of Scouting America Troop 16, DANIEL MARSICH has served as Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Senior Assistant Patrol Leader and as a Chaplain’s Aid.     

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT, I ANTHONY S. COLAVITA, Supervisor of the Town of Eastchester, on behalf of the Town Board of the Town of Eastchester, extend our congratulations to DANIEL MARSICH for his dedication and leadership on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout from Scouting America and proclaim today to be DANIEL MARSICH Day in the Town of Eastchester.
