DiNAPOLI ENDORSED! ANTI-CHOICE OPPONENT EXPOSED!

WCLA PAC is proud to endorse Tom DiNapoli for re-election to the office of NYS Comptroller. Tom DiNapoli has an outstanding record on abortion rights, first as a NYS Assemblyman and now as NYS Comptroller. DiNapoli’s record as a healthcare advocate speaks for itself. That’s why Choice Matters has awarded DiNapoli a 100% Pro-Choice rating.

In 2025, DiNapoli commissioned a report to expose NYS’ healthcare deserts – The Doctor is … Out, Shortages of Health Professionals in Rural Areas that documents a current huge gap in NYS’ rural healthcare systems with “one of the most acute physician shortages in the rural counties [being] Ob/Gyn physicians, impacting access to maternity care and reproductive health care.” “Four counties – Hamilton, Herkimer, Schuyler and Yates – have no Ob/Gyn physicians at all.” DiNapoli broadcasted to the public and elected officials that rural counties face a dire shortage in healthcare professionals.

This is how change is made! Exposing the problem and holding people accountable.

WCLA PAC and Choice Matters stand with NYS Comptroller Tom DiNapoli for re-election.

DiNapoli has two primary challengers. One has good intentions but no experience while the other, Raj Goyle, is attempting to reinvent himself. Goyle has an extensive anti-choice voting record from his time serving in the Kansas House of Representatives. Goyle “voted for a bill that would define [a fetus] as a person from fertilization until birth and apply that definition to crimes like murder or manslaughter when the victim is pregnant.”  He also voted to limit abortion access and to give a variety of individuals, including the impregnator, the right to seek a court order to stop a woman from obtaining an abortion. Now Goyle wants us to forget all that!

When sent our candidate questionnaire, Goyle appears to have tried to purge this voting history from the internet.

Giving candidates a chance to explain past acts, our questionnaire asks a simple question, “Are there any votes related to reproductive rights (e.g. concerning parental notification/consent, so-called partial birth abortion, so-called fetal homicide, etc.) that you have made in the past as an elected official, that you would make differently today?  Explain.”  It is intended to provide a candidate with a mea culpa moment, to explain. Goyle wrote, “No”.

We followed up, but Goyle refused to provide a written explanation of any past votes. Raj Goyle is Anti-Choice and his actions shows he can’t be trusted.
