
Archbishop Stepinac High School proudly announces Elden Agee of Elmsford as Valedictorian and James Donohoe of Bronxville as Salutatorian for the Class of 2026. Agee and Donohoe, along with their classmates, will receive their diplomas from Fr. Thomas Collins ’79 and deliver their addresses during Stepinac’s 76th Annual Commencement Exercises, which will be held at Archbishop Stepinac High School on May 21, 2026.
Principal Paul Carty praised both students for their accomplishments, stating, “I want to congratulate Elden and James on this achievement. It is a recognition of their hard work and a reminder that senior year grades matter. Best wishes to them in their future endeavors.”
Valedictorian – Elden Agee
Elden Agee earned the distinction of Valedictorian with an outstanding 4.1 GPA. Throughout his time at Stepinac, Agee demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and initiative both inside and outside the classroom.
He made a lasting impact on the school community by founding Stepinac’s first-ever podcast club, The Stepcast, creating a platform for student voices and school engagement. In addition, he served as a member of the Stepinac Rotary Club, further contributing to service and leadership efforts within the school.
His academic accomplishments have earned him numerous honors, including the 32nd Annual Harvard Prize Book Award, AP Scholar with Distinction, and membership in the National Honor Society.
Agee has been accepted to several prestigious universities, including Yale University, Harvard University, Duke University, Columbia University, and the University of Pennsylvania, among others. He plans to continue his academic journey at one of these distinguished institutions this fall.
Salutatorian – James Donohoe
James Donohoe earned Salutatorian honors with an impressive 4.0 GPA, demonstrating academic commitment, leadership, and active involvement throughout his Stepinac career.
Donohoe participated in several school organizations, including the Stepinac Newspaper Club, Foreign Leadership Club, and Campus Ministry. He also contributed athletically as a member of Stepinac’s Varsity Soccer Team and served as part of the 5-Star Ambassador Program at the New York GAA Minor Board, highlighting his leadership and community engagement.
His achievements include receiving the Coach’s Award for Soccer at Stepinac, recognition through the College Board National Recognition Program, AP Scholar with Distinction, and membership in the National Honor Society.
Donohoe has been accepted to Northeastern University, the University of Rochester, Lehigh University, and Fordham University, among other institutions. He looks forward to continuing his academic and leadership journey in college this fall.
