Help Get the Packaging Reduction Bill Over the Finish Line!

Join us on March 9 at 6:30 PM for a Women’s History Month virtual conversation focused on plastics, environmental justice, and public health, and what it will take to pass stronger packaging and recycling legislation in New York this year.

Date: March 9th

Time: 6:30 pm

Register HERE.

This event will feature Judith Enck, environmental policy leader, founder of Beyond Plastics, and former EPA Regional Administrator. Participants will learn how individuals and organizations can help advance critical legislation in New York aimed at reducing plastic pollution and protecting public health. The conversation will examine how plastic production, petrochemical exposure, and waste systems disproportionately impact Black, brown, and frontline communities — and why these issues are especially urgent in Westchester and communities nationwide.

From production to disposal, plastics are closely tied to fossil fuels, toxic air pollution, chemical exposure, and long-term health harms. This Women’s History Month conversation will provide context, highlight women’s leadership in environmental policy, and offer concrete ways to stay engaged in advancing environmental justice solutions.
