From the Hastings Police Department, Dated June 18
Dear Residents,
The Hastings-on-Hudson Police Department has recently received reports of large groups of youths gathering in Hillside Woods after the park has closed for the evening. Officers have responded to the area on several occasions and have dispersed these gatherings. The individuals involved have included youths from Hastings-on-Hudson, neighboring communities, and other surrounding areas.
In the interest of public safety and the preservation of our parks, the Hastings-on-Hudson Police Department will conduct increased patrols in Hillside Woods and enforce all applicable laws and park regulations.
We would like to remind residents that all Village parks, including their buildings, facilities, and grounds, are open to the public from 8:00 a.m. until dusk. Visitors are expected to leave the park at closing time.
We appreciate your cooperation and assistance in helping to keep our parks safe and enjoyable for everyone.
