Yonkers resident Catherine Elezaj won Fuelco’s flashy Camaro on display at the service station’s Yonkers location.
Elezaj’s name was one of thousands of names in the raffle, which was only open to people who signed up for the Fuelco app since the October 2021 opening of the location at 651 Bronx River Road. Sava DiGiacomo of White Plains won a $500 Fuelco gift card and Francisco Mejia of the Bronx won a $250 Fuelco gift card.
“Fuelco is committed to giving back to our community,” said Danny Eljamal, the Yonkers location’s operator. “We appreciate our customers who are willing to sign up for our app, which gives them super discounted prices on our gasoline. The Yonkers store has been an enormous success since we opened, and this Camaro giveaway allows to thank the public for patronizing our store.”
The orange and green convertible Camaro features Fuelco’s logo on the hood. The company hopes to raffle more cars in the future as the chain expands.
The car giveaway is Fuelco’s latest promotion. In November Fuelco’s Yonkers location launched its first annual Thanks to Veterans event with $1.99 a gallon gas and refreshments for veterans and active service members.
According to GasBuddy.com, Fuelco consistently has the lowest gas prices compared to its competitors. All customers can download the Fuelco app from the company’s website to receive everyday low prices on gas and healthy alternative foods at Fuelco’s Foodsmart convenience store.
Fuelco-Foodsmart’s locations are 651 Bronx River Road in Yonkers and 85 Virginia Road in Valhalla. The service stations combine deeply discounted gasoline and a variety of organic, gluten-free, and fair-trade snacks, along with convenience store staples.
The Eljamal family owns several gasoline station locations, mostly located in Westchester County.
