Congratulations to four young Rye residents who attend Osborn elementary school who
wanted to do something to help those affected by Hurricane Florence in North Carolina. All four students joined together to hold a “Lemonade for Relief” stand and were able to raise $48. They were able to raise $110 over the weekend. One of the four good Samaritans, Avery, came up with the idea of raising money, and Carson gave the idea for selling lemonade. Both days the kids cut and squeezed the juice, made signs, and conducted sales with warm grins and inviting giggles. The kids were excited when local police officer Angie came out to support their efforts. The money was recently transferred to the
American Red Cross. Congratulations to all four young Westchester residents and thanks for reminding us the importance of helping others!
