Sources tell Yonkers Insider that these are some of the candidates for Yonkers GOP this year in 2025 Elections.
Westchester County Legislator James Nolan 15th District is seeking a third term on the Westchester County Board of Legislators.
Yonkers City Councilman Anthony Merante is seeking a third term as a Yonkers City Councilman representing District 6.
Yonkers City Council President Race: Ron Schutte and Dean Politopolous. This will be a GOP Primary for Yonkers City Council President.
This would be Ron Schutte second run for public office. He ran in 2023 in a primary with Yonkers City Council Minority Leader Mike Breen in the 5th District.
This would be Dean Politopolous first run for Public Office. He recently served as Communications person at the Yonkers Police Department.
We also have some Independent Republicans running this year: Political Newcomer: Tony Solieri will run for Yonkers City Council in the 4th District to challenge Yonkers City Council Majority Leader John Rubbo.
Also Political Newcomer: Michael Pineda will run for Westchester County Legislator in the 14th District to challenge Westchester County Legislator David Tubiolo in the 14th District.
