25 years later- we remember.
We remember the innocent lives taken on September 11, 2001. We remember the courage of the first responders who ran toward danger, the selflessness of those who answered the call in the days and months that followed, and the strength of a nation united in the face of tragedy.
Here in Yonkers, we especially honor Lt. Roy McLaughlin, PO Anthony Maggiore, and PO Stanley Kasper, who succumbed to illnesses developed after assisting in recovery efforts at the World Trade Center site.
Their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
We remember them all – today, and always.
