Yonkers Police Dept issues Press Release in connection with the incident at Beczak Environmental Education Center that happened on 10/22/26 between Kisha Skipper and Donna Nolan. Please read the Press Release below.
On Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at approximately 8:25 PM, members of the Yonkers Police Department responded to the Beczak Environmental Education Center, located at 35 Alexander Street, at a political roundtable featuring several candidates, on a report of a physical altercation involving several individuals attending an event at the location.
Upon arrival, Officers separated the involved parties, detained one involved female for further investigation, and began looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident. The preliminary investigation determined that a verbal dispute between two women, one of whom is running for public office, and the other, a former member of her campaign staff. The incident occurred inside a restroom and escalated into a physical confrontation, during which a third woman, the mother of a candidate attending the roundtable, reportedly attempted to intervene, and sustained an abrasion to her lip. She was treated at a local hospital and later released.
The previously detained female was transported to the Detective Division for further investigation and was subsequently released without charges pending further investigation. She was also transported to an area hospital for a complaint of pain sustained during the incident.
The incident remains under active investigation by the Yonkers Police Department’s Detective Division, which is conducting extensive interviews, collecting evidence, and reviewing available video footage. At this time, the incident appears to have precipitated from a personal matter and has not been determined to be politically motivated.
Currently, no individuals are in police custody, and no criminal charges have been filed against any party involved. As the investigation is ongoing, more information may be released as it becomes available.
