Yonkers Force Youth Hockey Scores $3,000 Donation from the NHL

Congratulations to the Yonkers Force Youth Hockey team on being selected for a $3,000 donation from the NHL Players’ Association and Enterprise Rent-A-Car as part of their Hat Trick Award program!Yonkers Force Youth Hockey is a community outreach program offered by the Yonkers Police Department to teach the great game of ice hockey to underprivileged youth in Yonkers. It is a learn-to-play program administered and coached by volunteer Yonkers Police Officers. Instruction consists of floor hockey and on-ice sessions, with equipment donated by the NHL Players’ Association Goals & Dreams program. To qualify for this program, the player must be eligible for free or reduced lunch at school.Tonight’s coaches were Detective Captain Patrick McCormack, Sergeant Kevin Madison, Police Officer Jim Strauss, and Detective Christopher Urban.
