YoFI Fest’s 2026 Irish Cinema Showcase for Yonkers Arts Weekend

Yonkers Arts Weekend returns May 15–17, 2026, bringing a full weekend of art, music and culture to locations across the City. Artists, performers and creatives will take over galleries, public spaces and local venues with exhibitions, live performances and hands-on experiences for all ages.

YoFi Fest is presenting two free blocks of movies as part of the Arts Weekend. Both programs are free and open to the public, but they run at different times on each weekend day (see below for details).

The first program is the YoFi 2026 Irish Cinema Showcase. This program features a selection of contemporary Irish short films by Irish filmmakers. It plays on Saturday, May 16, at 12:30pm and on Sunday, May 17, at 3:30pm. Seating is limited, so reservations are suggested and available at YoFiFest.com

The second program is the YoFi 2026 Best Of The Fest, a curated collection of short films that played in past years as part of the Opening Night program at the annual YoFi Fest film festival. This program plays in a loop, so people are invited to drop-in any time and stay as long as they’d like. It plays on Saturday, May 16, at 2pm to 5pm and on Sunday, May 17, 12pm to 3pm.

The screenings are held at YoFi Fest’s Digital Media Art Center (DMAC) at 28 Wells Avenue, 5th Floor, Yonkers NY 10705. This location is convenient to public transportation and several nearby parking lots. Directions are available at YoFiFest.com.

These programs offer an amazing opportunity for audiences to watch films they might not see anywhere else. FilmFreeway named YoFiFest one of the “Top 100 Best Reviewed Festivals” nine times. It’s also been named “Best of Westchester” twice by Westchester Magazine, and it was named as one of the top ten reasons Yonkers was voted the “Hippest Town in the Lower Hudson Valley” by The Journal News and LoHud.

Yonkers Arts Weekend continues to grow each year, showcasing the depth of Yonkers’ creative community while drawing visitors into the City. Free and open to the public, it’s a chance to experience local talent, support small businesses and see Yonkers in a different light.
