WIHD Spring Gala Raises Over $210,000 to Benefit People withDisabilities and Vulnerable Children in Hudson Valley

The Westchester Institute for Human Development hosted its 2026 Annual Gala, Together We Thrive: Celebrating the Power of Community and Leadership, on May 13, 2026, at the Scarsdale Golf Club, welcoming approximately 185 community leaders, supporters, partners, and friends for an inspiring evening in support of WIHD’s mission.

The event celebrated the power of partnership, compassion, and community while raising critical funds to support WIHD’s programs and services for people with disabilities and vulnerable children throughout the Hudson Valley.

During the evening, WIHD proudly honored White Plains Hospital with the Katherine A. Kelly Service Award, Cuddy & Feder LLP with the Community Partner Award, and Dr. Susan Fox with the Legacy Award for their extraordinary leadership, partnership, and dedication to the
individuals and families WIHD serves.

Guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, a gourmet dinner, a moving program highlighting WIHD’s impact, and an exciting live auction and paddle raise benefiting WIHD’s Building on Excellence Capital Campaign. Throughout the evening, powerful stories and reflections reinforced the importance of creating inclusive communities where all individuals can thrive.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of sponsors, donors, volunteers, committee members, and attendees, the gala raised more than $210,000 to support WIHD’s mission and future growth.

“We are deeply grateful to everyone who made this evening such a success,” said Dr. Susan Fox. “The support demonstrated by our community helps ensure that WIHD can continue expanding critical programs and services for the individuals and families who rely on us every day.”

The gala also highlighted the momentum behind WIHD’s Building on Excellence Capital Campaign, which supports the organization’s continued growth and investment in expanded health, behavioral health, dental, educational, and community-based services.
