Westchester Children’s Association to Host Educational Webinar on the Impact of Air Pollution on Children’s Health April 22

Westchester Children’s Association (WCA) will host the next event in its Educational Webinar Series on April 22, 2026, from 12:00–1:00 PM, focusing on the impact of environmental air pollution on children’s health. This webinar, sponsored by Valley Bank, will explore how air quality affects children’s development and overall well-being.

Titled Where Children Grow and Breathe: The Impact of Environmental Air Pollution on Children’s Health, the session will feature Dr. Amy Brown, MD, M.Bioethics, a board-certified pediatric pulmonologist and expert in children’s environmental health. Dr. Brown serves as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at New York Medical College School of Medicine and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Public Health at the School of Health Sciences and Practice. She is an attending physician in Pediatric Pulmonology at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital and is actively engaged in education, research, public health, and advocacy through initiatives such as the Children’s Environmental Health Center of the Hudson Valley and Project ADAM-NY.

During the webinar Dr. Brown will discuss how air pollution impacts children’s respiratory health, the risks and challenges facing families and communities, and the steps that can be taken to reduce exposure and improve outcomes for children.

WCA’s Educational Webinar Series, sponsored by Valley Bank, brings together experts, advocates, and community members to raise awareness of issues impacting children and young people ages 0–25 across Westchester County.

The webinar is free and open to the public, but advance registration is required.
