The Yonkers Paddling & Rowing Club, YPRC, recently welcomed some Veterans to take a ride on the Hudson River. “The vets had an awesome day, both on and off the water, and they could not stop thanking me,” said organizer Frank Horvath. “This was our sixth year hosting our veterans and I can’t wait to keep this going. It is events like this and the support from our members that make YPRC a special place.”
Special shoutout to all the cooks who worked so hard in making an incredible feast and to all the people who brought the delicious sides and desserts, and everyone who made the veterans feel welcome at our club, and who helped out with getting them in the water and staying on top of the water (for the most part).
Big thanks to the Hudson River Riders for their help too, and with the rescues. Everyone did an incredible job.
