Westchester County Veterans will be honored at a special ceremony at Playland — and can enjoy free parking and six free rides — on Sunday, August 31. The park opens at 10 a.m.; the ceremony begins at 12:30 p.m. Veterans should pick up FREE parking passes at the Veterans Service Agency, 10 County Center Rd., Suite 204, White Plains, through Friday, August 29 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sooner is better — passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Make sure to bring your veteran ID. There is no additional cost to attend.
