10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s: 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 20. A free virtual program in partnership with the YMCA of Orange County with Learn about 10 common warning signs and what to watch for in yourself and others. This free virtual program by the Alzheimer’s Association explores typical age-related changes, how to approach someone about memory concerns, early detection, the benefits of a diagnosis, the diagnostic process and Alzheimer’s Association resources.
Virtual Memory Cafe: 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 21: A free virtual program featuring a musical performance by Deuces Wild Duo, Georganne Millard and Lou Patrick. For people with early-stage dementia only. Prescreening is required.
Something for Alz: Musical Moments: 10-11 a.m. Friday, April 22. A free virtual program for people with dementia and their family caregivers featuring interactive music activities with therapist Tim Doak.
Healthy Living for your Brain and Body: 1-1:30 p.m. Friday, April 22. A free virtual program in partnership with Calvary Baptist Church with information on diet, nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity and social engagement. Get hands-on tools to develop a plan for healthy aging.
Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia: 1:30-2 p.m. Friday, April 22: A free virtual program in partnership with Calvary Baptist Church. Learn about the impact of Alzheimer’s, the difference between dementia and Alzheimer’s, risk factors, disease stages, research, treatments and Alzheimer’s Association resources.
Something for Alz: Morning Game Show: 10-11 a.m. Sunday, April 24. People with dementia and their loved ones are invited to join us for a morining of games including Jeopardy, Hollywood Squares, Charades and more.
Memory Cafe: Noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, April 28: A free program for people with early-stage dementia and their family caregvers at Rini’s Restaurant, 12 W. Main St., Elmsford. Prescreening and preregistration are required to participate. Call 800.272.3900.

Dementia Conversations: 1:30-2 p.m. Friday, April 29. A free virtual program in partnership with Calvary Baptist Church with helpful tips to assist families with difficult dementia-related conversations, such as going to the doctor, deciding when to stop driving and making legal and financial plans. This program is primarily for those who have a family member or close friend beginning to experience Alzheimer’s or another dementia.
