Trump Endorses Dr. Oz for U.S. SenatePennsylvania

On April 8, former President Donald Trump endorsed Dr. Mehmet Oz as his choice for US Senate in Pennsylvania. Dr. Oz is running in a republican primary against Dave McCormick. McCormick was also hoping for Trump’s endorsement. His wife, Gina Powell, served in the Trump administration, and two former Trump staffers, Hope Hicks and Stephen Miller, work on the McCormick campaign.

“This is all about winning elections in order to stop the Radical Left maniacs from destroying our Country,” Trump said in his endorsement statement. “I have known Dr. Oz for many years, as have many others, even if only through his very successful television show. He has lived with us through the screen and has always been popular, respected, and smart.”

Trump joins Fox News Host Sean Hannity in endorsing Oz. The Pennsylvania US Senate race could determine which party controls the chamber after the november elections. The senate is currently tied with 50 democrats and 50 republicans. Vice-President Kamala Harris has broken the tie in most close votes, giving democrats the slim majority.

Two democrats are vying for their parties nomination for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania. Congressman Conor Lamb and Lt. Governor John Fetterman.
