THE BULLY’S COUP FAILED; NOW LET’S BULLY HIM

By Michael Volpe, SAM-NY Chair

The events of January 6, 2021 will never be forgotten. It is obvious and very clear that Donald Trump incited and ignited the violence and rioting in Washington D.C and the siege on the center of our democracy, the Capitol building.  The actions of Trump in the last few weeks and days simply proved he was never fit for the office of President of the United States of America.

On reflection, this day was classic Trump. A day filled with chaos, cowardice and confusion, and a day that showed us again, the hallmarks of a bully. This 74 year old exhibited the behaviors of a spoiled rich kid, a Daddy’s boy who did not get his way. His continuing comments about a rigged election, and his demand for an election win at all costs, resulted in domestic terrorists inciting riots.

What to do next with Trump? (As you can tell I cannot dignify him by labeling him the President).  We need to to start by remembering and agreeing:

Trump is an authoritarian only out for himself, Trump is not smart or respectful enough to understand democracy and its foundations, Trump has no respect for the rule of law, Trump is not a leader but a hater.

Where do we go from from here?  Remove Trump immediately pursuant to the 25th Amendment; remove him from the White House and Washington and make certain that VP Pence presides over the peaceful transition of power to President elect Biden to protect one of the hallmarks of our democracy.

Ask Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc. to take away and ban the idiot’s access to social media forever.

Convene a special counsel to consider prosecution of Trump after January 20th for his incitement of a riot and domestic terrorism.

Bullying the bully is the only solution!
